Grandma

As a child I can recall
Grandma always knew it all
She knew when to laugh and knew when to cry
And she always answered me when I asked why
When I was sick or just feeling blue
Grandma always knew what to do
With her hands so gentle and soft
And her mind filled with caring thoughts
We would stay up late and watch T.V.
We were best friends, Grandma and me
She taught me to cook and to crochet
I learned something new from her everyday
We've always been close even by letters
But time was more precious when we were together
As we've grown older times have changed
But our love for each other has remained the same
Even though we must part
You will always be in my heart
We both know we will meet again
Grandma I can't wait to see you then!
