The Green
Sofa
The sofa green
with antiquity
suffocated my affinity for simplicity
This new life was meant to be
but this sofa it was given to me
A relic from the past
passed onto me
for free
I put it by the stained glass window
for the green itself seemed holy somehow
From the sofa I see a giant willow
I sit all day on a green pillow
watching the tree
and the people I can see
moving about
unaware the tree is wilting in a never-ending bout
It's been a
few days
I have moved very little
Night is upon me
I think in the morning
I will put the sofa outside
To see who's next in line for a green sofa ride
