the personification of moral indignation

I saw you hit her the other night,
And in my stomach I felt her fright.
I was minding my business,
Trying to watch the last snowfall into the street.
She had her back to you when you began to beat,
And now I have an inkling that we might just have to meet…
You see my anger is saved for people like you,
The ones who have no clue.
You paint the world with grimy shit,
And now you're the one that gets the hit.
In the dark alleys where the light doesn't shine,
Is where you'll walk and pay the fine.
And if you don't,
Then I'll find you,
And everything after that will be black and blue.
An eye for an eye is my favorite quote,
From the silly pages someone wrote.
But in all seriousness,
You're going to pay,
And I will never say-
Never say a word to anyone,
Knowing that you got what you deserve.
So next time you raise your fist,
Why don't you think about what you missed.
The eyes in the window,
The breath on your back,
The feeling you had before the attack.
For when the time is right,
And nothing is in sight.
I will take from you,
What you took from me,
That secure feeling that we are what we see.
And when you fall upon that road,
It's because you reaped just what you sowed.
Someone some day will make you pay for being this way.
And I don't care what you say.
For there is no excuse,
No excuse for abuse,
Of the body or the mind.
And I hope for your sake, you I never find…
