Hey You… How Do You Do?

Are you all right?
You look a bit uptight.
Just tearing under this old flickering hall light.
Anything I can do?
You know, to make you feel a tad less blue.

Touching the shoulder,
About to hold her.
Knowing that she was crying,
And lying -
To herself.

On the inside the anger rising,
Oh that internal frying sound of the mind slowly dying.

Don't you fret.
I know we just met,
And your mind is set.
But just listen for a moment and try and not forget.
That when time is closing in,
And the past is no longer masked in sin.
And the light you have been waiting for is oh so-so-so-so-so-so close. Remember…

I mean, do you think it peculiar that you are there and I am here?
That we are assigned within the chaos of this rotating sphere?

Oh the fun of the world.
When the night is cold,
And one person breaks the mold.
And don't get me wrong I do feel bad,
There's just simply no need to be sad.
I know what he said.
That what goes up must come down,
And he was just a waitin' to make that beautiful smile of yours turn to a frown.

You see we are young now,
But someday we'll be old -
That's the one thing you can't run from.
Each morning up comes the sun,
And every evening the sun is done.
It's funny how it's dark to us but shining for some.

Look beyond the shadows of the moon.
See that one day your weathered face will hit the ground falling from your cocoon.

For now,
Lets hit the mountainous roads.
Try and see the world before it implodes.
Or just simply folds.
C'mon give me your hand,
And I'll bring you to my promised land.
