Welcome to the Millennium Papers, a collection of modern ideas wrought forth by persuasion, coercion and admiration. The Millennium Papers is loosely based on the e-zine format, ever so popular in this information age. Although we cannot be certain what type of information will be presented or how it may be construed, it will be updated regularly by the staff and by guest contributors.

The Millennium Papers is a sounding board and a meeting place serving the artistic inquiries of a group of disparate individuals. Having tried very hard in recent years to be writers and artists, or to at least understand what that means, we've subjugated numerous theories about the development of the ideas, the process itself, and the quiet times that come at the end when the work is over.  Of chief importance in that regard is the idea of an audience.  After all what is writing or art without an audience? Is it then nothing?  Why would someone sit and hack out words or sketch with a pen if they did not expect someone to see it?  For some, creating art serves as a release and can be a very personal affair.  Some people don't know why they do it; perhaps they just have to.  Some produce art for the benefit of others.  We tend to walk both sides of the fence depending on the weather outside and/or the level of serotonin between our neural synapses on the inside.  Irrespective of the motivational source, having those close to you and those that you respect beyond all others view your work and become better for having done so is reward enough for anyone to try it again, particularly if they are kind enough to tell you.

It is for these elusive reasons alluded to above, disparateness, inquisitive inquiry and the desire to feed each other that the owners and contributors of the Millennium Papers have created such a thing. And it is published on the web because we collectively believe in the talent of each other enough to be confident that our guests will also be changed in some way. Enjoy your stay and please come back whenever you like. Feel free to recommend the Millennium Papers to your constituents. You can also, and are in fact encouraged, to drop us a line and let us know what you think. Again, we welcome you to the Millennium Papers.
